Hospital Outreach
Outreach sessions, our coordinator attends antenatal and postnatal wards in hospital where we talk to dads to be and guide them to any help or advice we can offer. So if you see us there please come and have a chat or if you would like to set up a meeting email:

One to One Support
We offer one to one support to give dads peer to peer support with the aim to assist them with emotional support, and to signpost them to the relevant services to help them with issues ranging from parental skills to their mental health and well-being. This is a great way of getting things off your chest and helps to guide you in the right direction
Dad’s Walk & Talks
We offer chance to come for a walk with your babies and children. Chance for a chat and an opportunity to chat to Adrienne for anyone that needs it. This is a great way to make some connections with other dads too.

New Dads Workshop

First appointment – This is also called your ‘Booking appointment’ and usually takes place between your 6th and 10th week of pregnancy. There are important tests that we offer before the tenth week of pregnancy so please contact your midwife early if you have not already got an appointment.

Young Carers Support
Young Carers Barnardo’s- Barnardo’s works with young carers across the Barnsley area, offering advice, advocacy, and support. You can find out more information about the Young Carers Service or call them on (01226) 770619.
If you’re a young carer, you can access the service on a one-to-one basis or through a support group. Barnardo’s will give you a break from caring and a chance to socialise with other young carers who understand your situation. They’ll help you access play and learning in your own area.
Barnardo’s also provides a Sibling Support Service at the Priory Family Hub. The service offers group support to brothers and sisters of children with disabilities who live in the Barnsley area.
